    WiFi Automatic Chicken Door

Help ensure that the chicken door is closed no matter where you are. At sunset, most predators are active. Our WiFi and Phone App Enabled Automatic Chicken door has some great features to keep your chickens safe and to make chicken keeping easier. Door set-up takes about 5 minutes and is super simple. Once you put your location information in, you can decide if you want your door to open and close exactly with the sun, earlier or later. Since chickens go in and out of the coop based on daylight, once encouraged to do so, this door works with your chicken's natural rhythms. Our auto door relies on a sunrise/sunset times database so you do not need to continuously reprogram your opener as the days get longer and shorter throughout the year. And no, the door won't come down on your chickens there is a safety mechanism that prevents that from happening. The door can also be operated manually.

  • securewire™

    Super Secure Wire on Run

Our standard wire has 1"x 2" openings. It is the same rust-proof galvanized, vinyl-coated wire except that it is even more secure with much smaller openings. These are only half-inch square openings. So overall, it is a lot more wire to protect your chickens when they are in their chicken run.

  • Shed Cupola-White square

    Cupola

Perfect for smaller coops, this decorative cupola is the finishing touch on your custom coop. It has a black metal top and will be painted to match the trim color of your chicken coop. Installation may not be included as it could be damaged in transit.

  • Small Black Rooster weathervane square

    Weathervane

The Small Metal Weather Vane in black pairs perfectly with the small black metal-topped Cupola. Bring a little bit of Lancaster, Pennsylvania Amish style to your backyard!

    Automatic Chicken Door

Help ensure that the chicken door is closed no matter where you are. At sunset, most predators are active. Our Basic Automatic Chicken door has some great features to keep your chickens safe and to make chicken keeping easier. Door set-up takes about 5 minutes and is super simple. • 1-1-wire-around-run-predator-protection-chickens

    Wire Around Run

Wire around the perimeter of the run can go a long way in keeping your flock safe. This method is used in place of trenching and burying wire (which must be done before your coop arrives if you are using a trenching machine). It is well known that critters tire of burrowing pretty quickly. A 24" wire grid laid on top of the ground around the edge of your coop is a good deterrent for animals who burrow to try to access your chickens. Grass will grow up through the wire and it can be mowed once it does. We highly recommend that you use this or another method to protect your chickens while they are in their enclosed run.

  • electric-light-2023

    Light

Electric or solar, your choice. Electric light is shown. The light switch is installed near the entrance door inside the coop.

  • V1-clean-out-lid

    Cleaning Door

The benefits of the floor-level cleaning door are significant enough to warrant the cost, however, for larger coops, this is truly a terrific option. Instead of trying to narrow down the litter for the entire coop to push it out through the door, the floor-level cleaning door(s) provides an opening nearly the full length of the coop to simply push debris into a trash can or onto a tarp for fast disposal.

Basics+ Options

If you would like your coop to come safety upgraded and just a bit comfier for your chickens, then this option package is likely a good one for you to consider. Some prefer the DIY approach and that is great too!

  • wire-over-windows

    Super Secure Wire on Windows

Vinyl-coated galvanized wire with 1/2" by 1/2" openings is installed on the outside of coop windows. Galvanization keeps the wire from rusting. Windows can still be opened and still have screens. The wire provides the necessary protection for your chickens when they are in the coop and the windows are open.

  • Epoxy-Floor-800×762 – V1

    Easy Clean Epoxy Floor

If you are like so many of our backyard chicken keepers, who are not Amish, you may plan to wash the floor of your coop. It is different keeping chickens in a suburban or urban environment than it is in the country. That is why we have a super-durable, industrial epoxy floor that is completely washable. If you plan to wash the floor of your chicken coop, an epoxy floor is the right flooring choice for your new hen house.

  • insulated-shingle-roof

    Insulated Ceiling

This is for shingle and cedar shake roofs only. (Metal roofs are always insulted or else condensation will make them drip). If you are getting the Essentials Option Package with a coop that has a metal roof, you will not be charged for insulation twice.

This additional insulation is a great idea for coops to keep them warmer in the winter and also cooler in the summer.
